Winter wedding on New Year’s Eve!

Courtney & Andy’s New Year’s Eve wedding in Collingwood was just perfect.  Winter can be so unpredictable when it comes to shooting portraits outside but we did and I’m so glad we did!  My sister has this amazing group of girlfriends from University (I’ve been lucky to have photographed a few of their weddings), Courtney being one of them.  Knowing Courtney, and by the sounds of things I knew this would be a fantastic wedding with a pretty great party and it really was.  Courtney was a trooper I tell you.  From the moment she stepped out of the vehicle in the wind and the snow and the cold for their reveal she had a big smile on her face and just rolled with the punches.  They had a beautiful, intimate, candlelit ceremony with just their closet family & friends before the band and the party started.  The highlight to the evening was the surprise flash mob that the whole wedding joined in for!  What a way to spend New Year’s, and I’d say 2016 went out with a bang.  What a fantastic couple you guys are and I hope your honeymoon in St.Lucia was absolutely amazing.  Big hug to you both and enjoy reliving your day through a few of my favourite photos.  Xo

We loved reliving the day through these pictures. You guys were such troopers in that snow but wow the payoff was worth it! Such a beautiful day, and you two were gorgeous – congrats you two.

Muskoka Winter engagement

Engagement photos in the Winter are no doubt beautiful (tricky when it comes to planning sometimes if the weather isn’t on your side) but we lucked out and got a gorgeous day.  Amanda & Mohammad are getting married in Florida this year!  It’s a special place for Amanda and she can’t imagine getting married anywhere else.  We chatted about their big day, hiked across snow banks (in heels mind you), played with their adorable dog Rocky and laughed a lot.  They were troopers and I love how their engagement photos turned out.  Wishing you guys all the best, it was a blast hanging out with you for the afternoon.  Here’s a few of my favourites….

Niagara Winter wedding….Mitch & Kelty

Winter weddings are so beautiful, and they always turn out to be some of my favourite, especially when it means I get to go home to Niagara.  I’m not going to lie, sometimes the weather can be tricky (and believe me it was chilly) but the snow made up for it and we certainly didn’t waste time during the outside portion of the day.  We got together at Rodman Hall at Brock University for Kelty & Mitch’s first look and portraits and what a gorgeous spot it was!  Jewish weddings are always a blast. The dancing can’t be beat and the party is always so great.  I’m so happy for you Kelty & Mitch, I’m sure you’ll certainly live a exciting life together filled with lots of travel and adventures.  What a pleasure it was getting to know your families and capturing such a special day for you.  Wishing you both all the best.  Here are a few of my favourites from the day…..

Muskoka pregnancy photographer

I loved getting together with Jenny & Josh for their pregnancy photos in Muskoka.  I shot their wedding this past Summer at their gorgeous cottage/home in Port Carling (you can see it here) and it was absolutely perfect.  When Jenny asked me to come back and shoot these photos for them I was thrilled to get together again.  They have the sweetest dogs in the world and of course we captured a few photos of them (as best as we could)!  We played in the snow, drank coffee and chatted about what life will be like in 5 short weeks for them.  I’m so looking forward to meeting the new addition soon and I’m so excited for you guys to welcome your little one into the world.  Here’s a few of my favourite from our day together…

Family photos in Muskoka…

This is the second time I’ve gotten together with this sweet family for photos in the Muskoka area.  The first time little Leela was just a baby, and since then Leela has a new little brother Lucas!  We had a beautiful Winter day a few weeks back before all the snow decided to grace us.  We got together at one of my favourite little places in my neck of the woods.  We also did a little smash the cake session at the end and put on some traditional Indian outfits as well which is a important part of daddy’s culture.  The kids are absolutely adorable and I had such a nice time getting together with them for these photos.  Don’t grow up too fast little ones!  Here’s a few of my favourites…  places for photography in Muskokachildren photographychildren playingbrother and sisterbrother and sister photographymom and daughter photographyfamily photos in a parkchildren walking togethermom and son photographylittle boy walkingfamily photos in the Winterlittle girl photographycandid family photographylittle boy in the grassbrother and sister photographyfamily photography outsidecandid family photographyChristmas family photographycandid family photographykids playingdad and son photographylittle girl in Indian outfitkids Indian outfitsIndian brother and sisterlittle boy in indian outfitsmash the cake photographyLittle boy with his cake1 Year old little boylittle boy in the sinkbaby in the kitchen sinklittle boy taking a bath in the sink
