Niagara Winter wedding….Mitch & Kelty

Winter weddings are so beautiful, and they always turn out to be some of my favourite, especially when it means I get to go home to Niagara.  I’m not going to lie, sometimes the weather can be tricky (and believe me it was chilly) but the snow made up for it and we certainly didn’t waste time during the outside portion of the day.  We got together at Rodman Hall at Brock University for Kelty & Mitch’s first look and portraits and what a gorgeous spot it was!  Jewish weddings are always a blast. The dancing can’t be beat and the party is always so great.  I’m so happy for you Kelty & Mitch, I’m sure you’ll certainly live a exciting life together filled with lots of travel and adventures.  What a pleasure it was getting to know your families and capturing such a special day for you.  Wishing you both all the best.  Here are a few of my favourites from the day…..

Muskoka pregnancy photographer

I loved getting together with Jenny & Josh for their pregnancy photos in Muskoka.  I shot their wedding this past Summer at their gorgeous cottage/home in Port Carling (you can see it here) and it was absolutely perfect.  When Jenny asked me to come back and shoot these photos for them I was thrilled to get together again.  They have the sweetest dogs in the world and of course we captured a few photos of them (as best as we could)!  We played in the snow, drank coffee and chatted about what life will be like in 5 short weeks for them.  I’m so looking forward to meeting the new addition soon and I’m so excited for you guys to welcome your little one into the world.  Here’s a few of my favourite from our day together…

Family photos in Muskoka…

This is the second time I’ve gotten together with this sweet family for photos in the Muskoka area.  The first time little Leela was just a baby, and since then Leela has a new little brother Lucas!  We had a beautiful Winter day a few weeks back before all the snow decided to grace us.  We got together at one of my favourite little places in my neck of the woods.  We also did a little smash the cake session at the end and put on some traditional Indian outfits as well which is a important part of daddy’s culture.  The kids are absolutely adorable and I had such a nice time getting together with them for these photos.  Don’t grow up too fast little ones!  Here’s a few of my favourites…  places for photography in Muskokachildren photographychildren playingbrother and sisterbrother and sister photographymom and daughter photographyfamily photos in a parkchildren walking togethermom and son photographylittle boy walkingfamily photos in the Winterlittle girl photographycandid family photographylittle boy in the grassbrother and sister photographyfamily photography outsidecandid family photographyChristmas family photographycandid family photographykids playingdad and son photographylittle girl in Indian outfitkids Indian outfitsIndian brother and sisterlittle boy in indian outfitsmash the cake photographyLittle boy with his cake1 Year old little boylittle boy in the sinkbaby in the kitchen sinklittle boy taking a bath in the sink

Baby Rowan..newborn photos

I got together with little Rowan for his newborn photos a few weeks ago.  I’ve loved getting together with Emily & her family over the years, it’s truly a pleasure capturing their photos.  I visited them in their home and we starting the session off with a little bath for Rowan.  All the kids love their new little brother and he was such a delight to photograph.  They have such a great home with true character and wonderful colours, it made for the perfect backdrop.  I look forward to watching you grow little man, I’m sure you’ll turn out to be a wonderful hockey player like your big brother Aiden, sweet and kind like your sister Katie, and handsome and funny like your brother James.  Welcome to the world.  Here’s a few of my favourites….Baby in bathBaby in bathtubnatural newborn photographynew babybrothers and sistersmom and babynew familyfamily on bednew dad with babynewborn baby photographyfamily portraitnew dad with babynew baby handdad holding his new babybrothers on shoulderscandid family photographycandid newborn photographycandid photographynatural photographynew baby with brotherlittle boy on bed with dadbaby photo with mombaby toesfamily photo in bedroomnew baby with mom and dadbaby toes in black and whitedad holding new babyfamily on bed together

Refresh workshop…

Late Fall is always a interesting time for me.  I usually find my self pretty tired, burnt out and ready for some down time and learning.  Every year I try to go to a conference or workshop to get the creative juices flowing again and gain some inspiration for my next season of weddings.  I came across Jennifer Moher’s workshop (Refresh) and immediately I knew it was the perfect fit for me.  I loved that she was from Ontario, her work is beautiful, and the workshop was nice and intimate.  I signed up and off I went last weekend.  Together with her husband Hugh Whitaker, and her amazing assistant Erin Lester it was a incredible workshop with such amazing, insightful information.  Honestly my head has been spinning with new ideas since I left.  One thing that really stood out was having the opportunity to get together with this gorgeous couple below and do some shooting.  It was nice to try a few new things and challenge myself to capture light and angles in a different way.  What I was really hoping for was to come away from this workshop with a boost of energy, to feel inspired again, and to meet some amazing local photographers.  I got exactly what I needed and more.  Thank you Jennifer, Hugh & Erin for being so delightful, open to answering my million questions, and your openness to share your talents.  Here’s a few of my favourites from the day.beautiful wedding by wMac photographyBride getting ready by wMac photographywedding photography in Muskoka by wMac photographyMuskoka wedding photography by wMac photographycouples photography by wMac photographybeautiful outdoor wedding by wmac photographywedding photography course by wMac photographycottage weddings in Muskoka by wMac photographynatural wedding photography by wMac photographyweddings in Algonquin Park by wMac photographyBracebridge outdoor wedding by wMac photographyengagement photography in Muskoka by wMac photographyfun Muskoka photography by wMac photography2017 wedding photography in Muskoka by wMac photographynatural wedding photography by wmac photographybeautiful couple by wMac photographyportraits of a wedding couple by wMac photographyOntario outdoor wedding by wMac photographyintimate portrait of a wedding by wMac photographywedding photography in Muskoka by wMac photographywedding couple dancing by wMac photography
