Muskoka engagement photographer….Emily & Brian

I love shooting engagement photos in Muskoka, especially on gorgeous days at beautiful cottages!  Emily & Brian were visiting from British Columbia and decided they really wanted to capture the Northern feel for their engagement photos.  The cottage that she grew up at was the perfect place!  Between the forest, the beautiful lake, a hammock and some Muskoka beer I think we truly captured what Muskoka is all about.  What a pleasure getting together with you guys!  I had so much fun and wishing you all the best with your wedding planning!  Here’s just a few of my favourites from our time together!

Cottage wedding…Jodi & Mark

I love, love cottage weddings like these!  It’s even more amazing when these weddings take place on the lake closest to your heart!  Jodi & Mark grew up and spent most of their life on Eagle lake making it the perfect place to have their wedding.  Lucky for us we had the most beautiful day (contrary to most of my Saturdays this Season)!  We ventured out on the boat to one of our favourite islands to capture their photos.  Jodi has two handsome boys Jack & Carter.  They are the nicest, sweetest boys you could ever meet and it was obvious right away why she loves them so much.  I’m so happy for you both, it’s so wonderful seeing you so happy and I’m excited to share a few of my favourites from your amazing wedding day!  It was not only perfect but one heck of a party!  Here they are…

Tappattoo resort wedding…Brooklyn & Brian

This Tappattoo resort wedding was truly one of the most amazing weddings this Season.  I’ve had a lot of first this year, including Brooklyn & Brian’s ceremony in the rain.  The best part was that Brooklyn was possibly the best bride ever, and just rolled with the punches.  We were lucky and periodically throughout the day we were able to get outside and capture some gorgeous shots by the lake.  Brooklyn & Brian, their whole wedding party and their families were just the nicest people you could ever meet, and although the weather wasn’t always on our side they smiled and loved every second of the day.  I’m SO excited to share this one.  Not only is Grand Tappatoo resort such a great location but I just loved working with this fantastic couple.  Thank you for asking me to capture your wedding day Brooklyn & Brian, it was honestly such a pleasure.  You guys are wonderful and wishing you all the best together!  Here’s a few of my favourites!

Cottage wedding…Jacqueline & Dustin

What a beautiful cottage wedding!  I’m not even sure where to begin.  It’s not every day that I get to shoot a wedding on my favourite lake in the world.  Jacqueline contacted me a while back to capture her intimate wedding in the forest here on Eagle lake and I was so excited.  She’s been coming up here to her parent’s beautiful property since she was little and wanted to have their ceremony there (I’ve never shot a wedding ceremony that involved tequila either, it was awesome)!  We ventured over to a favourite little island of ours for their photos before heading over to another gorgeous cottage for their reception (In Carnations did such a beautiful job decorating).  I couldn’t imagine this wedding going any better than it did!  It was such a pleasure getting to know you Dustin & Jacqueline.  Here’s a few of my favourites from your perfect wedding day.

Miss Wendy, You’ve done it again. My beautiful friend, Jacqueline, went against the grain and got the beautiful, intimate, forest wedding she dreamed of. I could not be happier for her. Thank you, once again, for working the magic of your lens. You captured it perfectly. xo

McMichael art gallery wedding…Karen & John

What a amazing wedding day at McMichael art gallery with Karen & John.  I first got to know these two during their engagement session last year when they were visiting Canada (they both live abroad at the moment).  They were up for anything, sweet and genuine, and I knew their wedding would be amazing.  The day started at Karen’s place with traditional Chinese games and amazing food.  Both of their families are so welcoming and warm, they made us feel like part of the family.  Unfortunately the weather that day wasn’t on our side for the ceremony so it got moved indoors at the McMichael art gallery, but it was just as beautiful.  Lucky for us we were still able to do all of their photos in the gorgeous forest there and around the beautiful old buildings.  It was such a honour to capture this wedding.  John & Karen your such a amazing couple!  Wishing you all the best on your journey together.  Here’s a few of my favourites from their day…..
